Tips for Your Best Music & Flower Festival Experience in Colorado Springs

We can already picture it.
That perfect August evening light spilling over the mountains. The soft hum of music floating through the air. A field full of flowers—colorful and blooming like they’ve been waiting all year just for this moment.

In just a couple of weeks, Rocky Mountain Flower Fest will be here, and we honestly can’t wait. It’s the kind of event that feels made for slowing down and soaking up everything that makes Colorado summers magical: wide open skies, good music, great people, and flowers—so many flowers.

Here are some tips for your best music & flower festival experience.

  1. Show up with a folding camp chair, a water bottle, and probably too much excitement! The bands will be in our covered pavilion but there is very little seating available. Bring your chair and maybe even a small umbrella for shade - but be mindful of those sitting behind you.

  2. Get out your best festival outfits - think long flowy dresses, floral patterned shirts, braids, hats, and comfy shoes that work on a farm. We have lots of instagram worthy photo opportunities so make the most of it.

  3. If you are cutting flowers, consider bringing your own mason jar from home. We’re already dreaming about seeing all of you in the fields during the You-Pick hours of 3:00-7:00pm. We provide snips and a compostable cup but some people like a mason jar to hold the stems more upright without tipping over so easily.  Oh, and remember that you must pre-order your flowers during checkout because we can’t guarantee there will be extra flowers on the day-of the festival for sale.

  4. Bring some spending money - and yes, we take all forms of payment like Apple Cash, real cash, or credit/debit cards. There will be an artisan market with locally made jewelry, hats, candles, and botanical flowers.

  5. Come hungry and thirsty! No outside food or drink allowed - we want to support our local vendors. We have some great food trucks - Bowl in the City, Smokin J’s BBQ, Mondal’s Burgers, and more! Plus local craft beer from Bristol Brewing and floral infused cocktails like lavender vodka spritz and strawberry rose margaritas.

  6. Make it a family event, kids 8 & under are free! Bring your kids who can enjoy the kids zone provided by Mountain Song Community School, or interact with Zorro & Pedro from Luxy Llamas.

  7. Did we mention country line dancing?? In between music sets, at 4:00 & 6:00, there will be guided line dancing in the barn! You don’t need to know anything, just come and have fun.

  8. And yes—flower crowns will be happening! These will be available to pre-order at checkout, or you can purchase at the event until they sell out….and they will.

To us, it feels less like a festival and more like a summer evening you want to bottle up and save—one of those magical nights that lingers long after the sun sets.

So go ahead: set aside a mason jar for your bouquet, charge your phone, and gather your people. If you’re local—or just need an excuse to visit Colorado Springs—we hope you’ll join us.

Let’s dance in the flowers together!
